Votes were tallied from the 6 captains regarding new rules. Any rule that received four or more yays passed. The following are ones that passed:
Modification of the WDL Playoff/Finals Format
-Influenced by NBA/NHL/MLB playoff formats where both teams have at least one opportunity to play on their homefield.
-Playoffs/finals remain a best-of-5 format.
-Finals game would no longer be a set map. Both teams would have an opportunity to play on their homefields.
-Better ranked seed's homefield is played rounds 1/2/5 and lesser ranked seed's homefield is played 3/4.
-In the event that ties cause the series to go beyond 5 rounds, rounds would alternate until a winner is determined.
-Example: 1 Seed vs. 4 Seed. Homefield order, by round, would be: 1,1,4,4,1.
-Example: If the game went 9 rounds, the homefield order, by round, would be: 1,1,4,4,1,4,1,4,1
Mandatory name/tag usage
-All teams must use a 3-letter tag, enclosed in brackets: [ABC]
-All players must wear 3-letter tag, followed by their common forum name
-This is for making demos easier to understand and disect (for instance, if someone watches them 5 years from now)
