WDL Winter 2017 / Re: WDL W2017 Pre-season Discussion
« on: February 02, 2017, 08:07:11 PM »
How, though?? They used to be so popular, picked somewhat often in priv and provided good matches in WDL and IDL seasons. I find it hard to believe everyone collectively decided to let them collect dust in a year's time. MAP28's replacement in particular not being that good in comparison makes this decision even less sound to me.

The old map28 was literally only good because it had two spawns because the map was broken in zdaemon/odamex. The new version stunk and the new map28 seems at least interesting. The maps are played out, the league has changed, and it was time to try something new

The two spawn idea isnt true at all? It was and is still played very much without the two spawn idea, and I made the map when I was around 15 years old. The spawns werent initially perfect and I dont expect people to like how I initially put them. But you can say the same thing about any map (it could be fixed). Honestly, I sense a bias here. But who am I to judge about anything.

WDL Summer 2016 / ChaosCore Map11(Core29) and 14(Core26)
« on: July 04, 2016, 06:43:14 PM »
As these two maps are seeing serious competitive play for the first time, I am making a thread for any sort of feedback as a means potentially change some things based on the reception. Please feel free to leave any sort of constructive criticism; If there are things that generally seem agreed upon for change then I am wanting to fix them for the better. Thank you guys for giving these maps a chance and I look forward to your feedback.

Team DS (Turska, Dingdang, Alpha) vs Team Water (Kblair, Jwarrier, Vondoom Mcdoom)

Although I don't think DS had the best picks in mind, I think that he is a prominent enough player and leader to make his team successful. Dingdang has seemed to improved in priv from my initial perspective of him, so I think that DS's odds are greater when considering his synergy with dingdang. Water's team looks great on paper but will need to practice to completely solidify their true potential. In the end I think that with enough practice DS can steal a round, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

2-1 Team Water.

Team RoSKing (FSN76, Starrk, Hopes) vs Team Ralphis (Caution, Tony, BWidger)

Team Alt_Stab (Torvald, Dranzer, AVC) vs Team HumanBones (Rude, Xenaero, Stipsi)

Definitely going to be game of the week. I think this game will come down to the offensive abilities, as when I look at both teams; I see all fraggers besides Rude. I think Rude is the factor here as I think he is more of an offensive threat than anyone else for both teams. I could be completely wrong, as I'm not completely aware of the offensive abilities of Stab's team. I think that Stab has the potential to make a 0-1 comeback to 2-1; I think the most positive trait he has as a captain is to acknowledge the faults of what's going wrong and react accordingly. But, given how early it is in the season; I give bones the win for now.

2-1 Team HumanBones.

WDL Discussion / Re: WDL 2016 Map Proposals
« on: December 04, 2015, 07:47:32 PM »
ChaosCoreCTFmpII is finally released, maps are Core01-Core30.;
https://www.dropbox.com/s/r283pkuuoydlc35/ChaosCoreCTFmpII-b.zip?dl=0

Everything is 100% odamex compatible. Almost all of these maps play well for the 3v3/4v4 standards.

Hope that i'm not too late.

Edit: There were some mandatory fixes that needed to be address, link has been updated to version B.
