Want to be a WDL captain?

Though the WDL Administration hand picks its captains, the league is always interested in allowing proven players the opportunity to step into leadership roles. Through this thread, you will have some time to pitch yourself as a viable captain to the league. Since this is the league's inaugural season, past performance in other events (as well as reputation) will be taken into account. This is not a thread for debating others' qualifications. Please do not comment on other potential captains in this thread!

Captains are generally asked to captain for a minimum of two consecutive seasons. Remember that there are only six-eight league wide, so this role is very important to the league, the players, and your own reputation. For anyone not willing to apply to be a captain publicly, you can contact WDL Commissioner Ralphis through private message or IRC.

There are currently 5 potentially open captain positions for the Summer 2013 season. Signing up in this thread does NOT guarantee you a captain position.

This is no big surprise to anybody, but I would like to be a captain. Taking the leading role in a team is something I find joy and passion in doing, and so I have for an IDL season and a half, several Skulltag/Zandronum tournaments and a full-fledged clan. I may not have godly skills at leading or even playing the game, and I know I don't have very good mannerism with people, but I am more than willing to improve in every relevant way.

P.S.: I am also looking forward to contribute to WDL in more ways than just playing my games. Ultimately my offers are up to Ralphis to accept or decline, but everyone should expect some neat works outside of the games themselves coming from yours truly during and after this season if all goes well.
