WDL Summer 2014 Draft Live! on the
Unidoom Twitch.TV channel. The draft will be preceded by a WDL round table discussion by community members.
INTRODUCING THE AUCTION DRAFT
For the WDL's inaugural season, we'll be trying out a brand new draft system. In what we are calling the "auction draft", all 6 captains will have a budget of $30. Instead of captains selecting players for their team in a set order, captains will take turns bidding on players from free agency with their allotted budget. The league has run a number of mock trials using different captains/free agents and has produced exciting and, more importantly, very balanced squads.
