Adding a third WDL season to the calendar

There is a significant difference between starting the season at the end of January when first semester exams are already finished, and starting one in mid fall when midterms are usually being prepped for/ done. As for the 4th of July issue, I will reiterate: for an American exclusive holiday, I am completely fine with postponing for a few days/ a week if need be.

I think, judging from your post, that exams happen differently up there in the great north. Typically, down here, exams happen in December and May

I'm not opposed to the mid-season break idea over the 4th. I think that would work.

I don't mind playing during the exams, it's just November is the month where you have all the major assignments bundling up and exams coming along... it's insane. I'd still be able to play games no problem since there's *always* enough space to make time, but doing multiple practice sessions during the week would be insane with a team during that time period. Though as long as my team knows that, then I think we'd all be good.

On the topic of during breaks, I don't mind a mid-season vacation for a week.

If I want to dedicate 2 months of my life to doom then I will do it regardless of what I have going on. It doesn't take up a lot of time unless you're a bad player.
